Symmetric 𝔼ven Capacitive converter - The S𝔼C converter
The Symmetric 𝔼ven Capacitive converter is shown in the circuit diagram below. Feel free to move the slider to set the Vout/VDC ratio and observe the corresponding waveforms in the timing diagrams on the right 👉👉👉

The Symmetric 𝔼ven Capacitive converter is a DC/DC converter with two main features:
1/ Both the switch and the diode operate in ZVS and ZdVS/ZCS, regardless of the Vout/VDC ratio, provided the duty cycle D of the control signal applied to the switch is adjusted according to the following equation:
$$ D = \frac{1}{\pi}\cdot\arctan\left(\sqrt{\frac{V_{out}}{V_{DC}}}\right) $$
2/ It inherently operates as a voltage-controlled current source, with the output power of the converter given by:
$$ P = \frac{2}{\pi}\cdot\omega\cdot C_s\cdot V_{out} \cdot V_{DC} $$
